William I.
(Bill) Pugsley
Bill Pugsley was an operational
weather forecaster with Transport Canada, Chief of Hydrometeorology and
Marine Applications, Director of Scientific Program Development in the
Canadian Climate Centre of Environment Canada and Director General of
Meteorology and Oceanography for the Dept. of National Defence.
After retiring from the federal public service in 1996, he was elected
to the national executive of CMOS (President in 1998-99), to the Board
of the Canadian Association for the Club of Rome and was a Governor
with the International Council for Computer Communications (1999-2004.
He is a graduate of the University of Toronto (Physics), McGill
University (Meteorology) and the National Defence College (national
security).
