D Arthur Davies was WMO delegate for the Regional Association for Africa (he became Secretary-General of WMO in 1955); Andrew Thomson was Head of the Meteorological Service and Head of Canadian Delegation to WMO; and Patrick D McTaggart-Cowan, who would replace Andrew Thomson in 1959.
