NOTE: This
year is the 20th annual contribution by Weather Research House.
Dr. Stuart has informed us, and is announcing, that he has to bring to
an end his
contribution. The
Society is so ever grateful for the $100,000 he has donated. The
award is worth $5,000 for up to two years. While
the donation has ceased, CMOS is pleased to announce that the
award will continue for at least five more years. There
were times when the second year was not required as in the case of a
one-year Masters program. Those funds were saved and will allow CMOS to continue the program until at least 2022. We are nevertheless hopeful that a new benefactor will come forward to allow us to keep offering this award beyond then. |
